The story behind Realms of Elin

In 2025, I was going through one of the darkest and most uncertain periods of my life. Everything around me felt temporary and unsettled, and I had no idea what the next chapter of my life was going to look like.

And strangely enough, it was right in the middle of that darkness that the idea of creating sculptures came to me.

I can’t really explain it. I just started seeing sculptures in my mind, and I had this strong feeling that I needed to create them. At the time, I couldn’t even begin... Most of my belongings were packed away in moving boxes, and I didn’t even know where I was going to live next.

Looking back, maybe some part of me needed that little glimpse of what was waiting on the other side. Maybe it was intuition, or maybe it was simply something inside me reminding me that there was still something beautiful waiting to be created. Whatever it was, I held on to it..

Things didn’t get easier. In many ways, they became harder. But somewhere in the middle of it all, I started creating.
Sculpting and painting became a way for me to escape from life for a while.

During this time, I also started reconnecting with my inner child and taking that part of myself more seriously. The part that wants to play, imagine, explore and create simply because it feels good. Instead of pushing that part of myself aside, I started listening to it.

I believe we are all here to create in some way. What that looks like will be different for everyone. To me, creativity is an energy, and I believe that when we connect with it, something within us comes alive.

Somewhere underneath all the expectations of who we are supposed to be, there is still that curious child who remembers what feels exciting, what brings us joy and what makes us feel alive.

For me, reconnecting with that part of myself has been incredibly important. Through everything I’ve been through this past year, creativity gave me somewhere to go when life felt too heavy. It gave me moments of joy and wonder when those things were otherwise difficult to find.

So I kept creating,, while struggling with depression.

I felt like a part of me had died..... And that is where I started finding more of myself.

Maybe finding my way back to myself was never really about becoming who I used to be. Maybe something had to fall away for me to discover who I was underneath it all.

And somewhere within that process, Realms of Elin was born.
A world born from imagination and emotion. From darkness, mostly,, but from light too. A place where neither the light nor the dark has to be pushed away.

The sword within the logo carries a meaning. It represents the warrior within. The part of me that kept going when things were dark, found the courage to keep moving forward and trusted the process.

Realms of Elin is a place where the creatures and worlds within me can take physical form. A place where I can create without rules. Where I can play. Where strange creatures, animals, fairies, monsters and dragons are allowed to exist.
And where I feel more at home.

I hope there is something here for you too

Maybe you see a part of yourself in one of my creations. Maybe you simply feel drawn to something without really knowing why.
If something I create makes you feel a little less alone, a little more hopeful, or simply brings a little magic into your world, then that means more to me than you know.

Whatever brought you here, I hope you find something that speaks to you.
